To provide an electronic apparatus and its battery housing structure capable of surely preventing either a cathode or an anode from contacting an electrode plate, even in case a rod-shaped battery is loaded in the housing part with an anode/cathode in reverse.
The battery housing structure fitted to the electronic apparatus includes a cathode terminal 43 capable of electrically connecting with a cathode of the rod-shaped battery, and an anode terminal capable of electrically connecting with an anode of the rod-shaped battery, as well as contact-inhibiting means 52, 53 inhibiting contact between the anode and the cathode of the rod-shaped battery in case the rod-shaped battery is wrongly housed in the housing part with the anode to the cathode terminal and the cathode to the anode terminal and the rod-shaped battery falls over an axis center of the housing part so that an axis center of the battery does not coincide with that of the housing part.
