Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a battery management unit and a battery management method, capable of accurately calculating and estimating a State Of Charge of a battery even while using a general detector or the like mounted on a vehicle, for example.SOLUTION: A battery management unit 1 comprises: an open end voltage estimation section 21 for estimating an open end voltage OCV of a secondary battery 5 using regression analysis from a plurality of sets of data each of which is composed of a detection value of charge/discharge current I of the secondary battery 5 and a detection value of a terminal voltage V of the secondary battery 5; and a State-Of-Charge regression estimation section 22 for estimating a regression estimation State Of Charge SOCr of the secondary battery 5 from an estimation result of the open end voltage estimation section 21 and relation information between the open end voltage OCV and a State Of Charge of the secondary battery 5. The open end voltage estimation section 21 thins out all sets of data sampled during a target period P for the regression analysis, via a plurality of small periods sp that are shorter than the target period P and are discrete; and uses a plurality of sets of data obtained using the thinning processing, for the regression analysis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
