Abstract:
To improve flexibility of a polar plate of a battery.SOLUTION: A battery (cylindrical type lithium primary battery 1 in example of Fig. 1) has a polar plate (a cathode 5 in example of Fig. 1) including a core body having conductivity and a mixture layer covering the core body. The mixture layer is obtained by curing slurry containing an active substance, a conductive material and a binder, and contains the active substance, the conductive material and the binder, and the binder contains a fibrous resin mainly containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin. Thereby, nets of fibers are stretched in the polar plate, and flexibility of a polar plate is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
