Abstract:
To make smaller the difference in the amount of deposited polymer particles between a center portion and a surface layer portion of a porous base material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing battery comprises the steps of: (α) preparing a conductive porous base material; (β) forming a first electrode in an inside cavity of the porous base material; (γ) forming a separator by depositing polymer particles to a surface of the first electrode in the inside cavity; and (δ) forming a second electrode an inside cavity remaining in the porous base material after formation of the separator. In the method, the polymer particles are introduced into the inside cavities from outside the porous base material 10 by electrophoresis under an electric field formed between the porous base material 10 and an electrode 20 for electric field formation. The following condition is satisfied in such a direction that the distance the center of the porous base material 10 and the electrode 20 for electric field formation becomes the shortest distance: d2/d1≥8.5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
