Abstract:
A manufacturing method for a battery including a cell array (5) and a case (1) is provided. The cell array (5) includes a plurality of single cells arranged in a certain direction. The case (1) includes a pair of compartment members (12, 13) of which a longitudinal direction is a direction in which the single cells are arranged, and a first end member (14) provided at a first end in the longitudinal direction. In the manufacturing method, in space surrounded by the compartment members (12, 13) and the first end member (14), the cell array (5) and a second end member (2) facing the first end member (14) across the cell array (5) are placed. In a direction to compress the cell array (5) from an outside part of the second end member (2), each compartment member (12, 13) is joined with the second end member (2) at a second end in the longitudinal direction while a predetermined load is applied to bind the cell array (5).
