Abstract:
To provide a battery module.
A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a battery array with a battery cell as a unit, and a fixing member. The battery cell includes: a terminal surface where an electrode terminal and a vent are exposed; and a bottom face opposite to the terminal surface. In the battery array, at least two or more layers of a pair of the battery cells disposed horizontally such that the bottom faces of the battery cells face with each other are stacked. The fixing member fixes the battery array. According to the present invention, a battery having desired output and capacity can be efficiently installed in a battery installation space having limited height, such as of a vehicle.
