Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device which enables a monitoring unit to prevent a circuit required to continue to be driven from stopping even when power from a battery to the monitoring unit is interrupted, in order to suppress reduction in charge amount of the battery.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device is configured by comprising: a monitoring unit 4 comprising an abnormality monitoring unit 6 for monitoring abnormality of a battery, a control signal output circuit 8 for outputting a control signal to the abnormality monitoring unit 6, a power supply unit 9 for supplying power to the control signal output circuit 8, and a battery monitoring unit 7 for transmitting information showing a result of the monitoring by the abnormality monitoring unit 6; a switch 11; and a battery control unit 12 which controls whether or not to make the battery 2 be in a use disabled state, on the basis of the information transmitted from the battery monitoring unit 7, and controls operation of the switch 11 so that power from the battery 2 to the monitoring unit 4 is interrupted when making the battery control unit 12 be in a sleep state.
