Title:
BATTERY PACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013102649
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent a battery from being discharged until the battery cannot supply electric power to an electrically powered apparatus, by continuing mounting of a battery pack on a charger after the battery pack is mounted on the charger and charging to the battery is finished.

Even when a battery voltage Vbat is equal to or more than a threshold voltage Vs1 for overdischarge determination, and electric power can be normally supplied to a regulator from a battery in a battery pack, a charger side control voltage Vdd is selected as a supply voltage (a BMU power supply) of the regulator 33 (S120) when the battery pack is mounted on a charger and the charger side control voltage Vdd is supplied from the charger (S110-YES). Although the battery 31 is selected as the BMU power supply when the battery pack is removed from the charger (S120-NO), the BMU power supply is intercepted (S180) when the battery voltage Vbat is less than the threshold voltage Vs1 in this state.
