Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery pack having compatibility with a nickel-cadmium battery pack even in the case of their chargings.
SOLUTION: When charging a lithium ion battery 31, a switch circuit 32 is turned on by a control circuit 35, and concurrently, a switch circuit 36 is controlled to be turned off by the control circuit 35. When the full charging of the lithium ion battery 31 is sensed by a sensing circuit 34, the on-off control of the switch circuit 32 is performed at a predetermined period by the control circuit 35, and concurrently, the antiphase on-off control of the switch circuit 36 to the first switch circuit 32 is performed by the control circuit 35. Further, the rate of the on-term of the switch circuit 32 to its on-off period is increased to lower gradually the voltage between a pair of charging/discharging terminals T31, T32.
