PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of the short circuit due to the unexpected contact of terminal parts, or electric connection failure due to the adherence of dust, etc., by housing external connecting terminal parts in the sheathing body inside in the case of a single substance battery pack.
CONSTITUTION: In the condition of a single substance battery pack, the external connecting terminal parts 3a and 3b of both positive and negative electrodes or one side of them, provided on one end of a sheathing body 1, are housed in the sheathing body 1 inside. On the one side, when they are mounted on equipment for charging/discharging, the terminal parts 3a and 3b are moved to be exposed outside the sheathing body 1, making electric connection between a battery pack and the equipment. Consequently in the case of a single substance battery pack, the occurrence of a short circuit due to the careless contact of the terminal parts, or of failure at the time of electric connection with the equipment due to the adherence of dust, etc., to the terminal part, can be prevented. Moreover it is preferable that the movement of the terminal parts 3a and 3b is made by pushing a button, provided on a part of the sheathing body 1, with the equipment. Also it is desired that the button is provided in a recessed part 4.
