Abstract:
To provide a battery separator excellent in any of an electrolyte absorbing speed, holdability, gas permeability and uniformity.
This battery separator is wet nonwoven fabric composed of polyphenylene sulfide fiber, and when it is measured in accordance with a B- method specified in JIS L-1096, a liquid absorbing speed of 30wt.% potassium hydroxide water solution is 10mm/30min. or more, further with a liquid holding factor 100% or more. This battery is constituted by the battery separator thus formed.
