Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in the production amount of NiOH in the positive electrode of a nickel metal hydride battery, in a battery system including nickel metal hydride batteries.SOLUTION: An ECU executes control processing including a step of acquiring voltage Vb, current Ib and temperature Tb (S100), a step of setting the upper limit value Vbu of the voltage of a cell (S102), a step of calculating a voltage Vb' (S103), a step of controlling the voltage Vb' to go below a predetermined value (S106), when the voltage Vb' exceeds the upper limit value Vbu (YES in S104), and a step of performing normal control (S108), when the voltage Vb' goes below the upper limit value Vbu (NO in S104).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
