Abstract:
To appropriately estimate the full charge capacity of a secondary battery having hysteresis that exists in an SOC-OCV curve in a battery system mounted in a vehicle.SOLUTION: An ECU 100 divides a charge amount from start to end of external charge by a difference ΔSOC between a first SOC that indicates an SOC at start of external charge and a second SOC that indicates an SOC at termination of external charge and thereby estimates the full charge capacity of a secondary battery. The ECU 100 calculates the first SOC from an OCV before start of external charge using a charge curve and calculates the second SOC from an OCV after termination of external charge using a discharge curve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
