To provide a battery temperature adjusting unit and a battery temperature adjusting apparatus that are capable of efficient battery-temperature adjustment.
The battery temperature adjusting unit is capable of being inserted between adjacent battery cells, and includes a heat pipe and a heater. When the battery temperature adjusting unit is inserted between the adjacent battery cells, the heat pipe and the heater are configured so as to thermally connect the battery cells. The heat pipe is such that when it is in a battery cooling mode, the heat of the battery cells is conveyed to a cooling jacket by the heat pipe to efficiently cool the battery cells. In a battery heating mode, the heat from the heater dries out the inside of the heat pipe, and the heat of the heater is prevented from being leaked from the cooling jacket. The battery temperature adjusting unit is included in a battery temperature adjusting apparatus.
