To provide a vertically-fastening type battery terminal needing a small number of components, and capable of surely fastening an electrode fixing part by preventing the tilt of a fastening member.

A terminal body 2 is provided with: a stud bolt 3 for mounting a wire-side terminal fitting; the electrode fixing part 6 for fixing a battery post 21; and a nut part 12 allowing a fastening bolt 4 to be screwed. The fixing part 6 is provided with a fixing end 7A connected to the terminal body 2 and a free end 7B. The fixing end 7A is provided with a first attitude keeping part 17 for keeping the attitude of the fastening member 5. In the terminal body 2, a second attitude keeping part 20 is folded and erected at a position in contact with a rear leg part 23A of the fastening member 5. When force for tilting the fastening member 5 acts in screwing the bolt 4, both the keeping parts 17 and 20 come into contact with a fastening leg part 22B and the leg part 23A, respectively, so that the tilt is restricted.
