Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain satisfactory discharge performance in a wide range of discharge condition by selectively taking in oxygen gas in the atmosphere within a battery in a sufficient rate, and preventing the entry of moisture and carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere into the battery over a long period of time.

CONSTITUTION: A thin film is formed by plasma polymerization of trimethylvinylsilane on a porous base material, then a thin film is formed by plasma polymerization of cyclohexane to form a composite film 11. The composite film 11 is interposed between a porous film 2 made of polytetrafluoroethylene and an oxygen diffusion film 4, and the composite film 11 is arranged so that the thin film formed by plasma polymerization of trimethylvinylsilane is faced to an air intake hole 3. Oxygen permeable rate of a battery is satisfied and the entry of moisture and carbon dioxide gas is effectively prevented. Low rate discharge performance in an atmosphere of high temperature and low humidity in addition to high rate discharge performance is increased.
