Title:
BATTING MACHINE USING SHUTTLE OF BADMINTON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010082391
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem wherein in a general practicing method for batting for a baseball, a ball is held and tossed from below or a ball is thrown, so that it is very hard to collect the balls because the balls fly distantly or in unexpected directions, or sometimes the balls strike people or things to cause a hurt or an accident, and further physical strength is limited in tossing the ball or throwing the ball, resulting in lacking in probability of always throwing the balls within a fixed positional range.

This batting machine is manufactured using a shuttle of badminton instead of a ball in a machine for practicing batting. In this case, the shuttle does not fly distantly in spite of strong hitting, and since the mass of the shuttle is small, even when it strikes people, a hurt or a bruise can be lessened. Further, the shuttle flies within 5-6 m at maximum, so that it is easy to collect the shuttles. When the shuttle does not meet the core of a bat, it does not fly. Thus, this machine produces a practicing effect to meet the core of the bat in the baseball.
