Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a batting machine which gives us almost the same hitting feeling of oneself with a ball thrown by a pitcher.
CONSTITUTION: An arm 5 provided with a ball-release mechanism for holding and releasing balls 1 in the inside with one end fitted so as to be freely rotatable against an axis 3 and also provided with a ball holder 4 at the other end is arranged coaxially with the axis 3. The machine is constituted of a freely rotatable one-way ratchet against the axis 3, a spring connected to the one-way ratchet, to transmit the spring force and rotate the one-way ratchet in the normal direction N, and a claw 9 engaging with the ratchet at the end thereof when the arm 5 rotates reversely.
