To provide the beacon receiver which can obtain correct information without any omission in a communication area in an early stage (period of high utilization value) by supplementing omission frame data with other frame data even if the omission frame data is generated at the time of the reception of all frame data including various information broadcasted from a road beacon transmitter.
A broadcast radio wave of various information transmitted by the roadside beacon transmitter is received by an antenna 1, a demodulating circuit 5, and a level decision circuit 7 to detect the position of the transmitter and discriminate the travel direction of a vehicle by a data regeneration circuit 6, a phase detecting circuit 8, and a data processing circuit 9. Further, the received information is stored in a memory 10 and when the data processing circuit 9 detects the position of the roadside beacon transmitter, information data are structured; if there is omission frame data, retrieval is carried out to the past before the position detection time and further from the position detection time to the present point and when the omission frame data is still not found, the retrieval is carried on in real time until information data of another roadside beacon transmitter is received.
