Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve connection strength by making the shape of the butting portion of a beam to be butted against a column correspond with the shape of a column including curved column corners.
SOLUTION: A column 2 is prismatic and the corners 21 of the column are curved. The connector 1 is used for connecting the column 2 and a floor beam 3, and the column 2 and a ceiling beam 3 and is formed of section steel with a U cross section, the shape of the butting portion 11 of the connecting hardware that is butted against the column 2 corresponds with the shape of the column 2 including the corners 21. The butting portion 11 is butted against a prescribed height of the column 2 (upper end or lower end) and welded, and beams 3, 4 are inserted into the connector 1 and welded and connected thereto. As the butting portion 11 has a shape corresponding with the shape of the column 2 including the corners 21, connecting the butting portion 11 by welding makes weld length increase and helps secure high connection strength.
