To provide a beam conveyer for conveying a sheet-like object that can efficiently convey the flexible sheet-like object without mutual contact and be used even in a clean room.

The beam conveyer conveys the sheet-like object in its substantially vertical state using a movable beam part 1 and a fixed beam part 10 having a vertically driving mechanism and a horizontally driving mechanism. Many grooves 2a, 12a are formed in a constant pitch interval on support beams 2, 12 of the movable beam part 1 and the fixed beam part 10 that are arranged substantially horizontally. A support bar 7 at the upper end or the lower end of a sheet-like object holding frame 6 is engaged and held in the grooves, clips 5 for grabbing the end of the sheet-like object are mounted on longitudinal frames on both sides of the sheet-like object holding frame 6 formed in the substantially U-shape, and the holding frame 6 for holding the sheet-like object in a tensile state is conveyed in a stood or suspended state using the clips 5.
