Title:
BEAM GATHERING UNIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0250105
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To gather beams from many respective lasers by turning laser beams transmitted through optical fibers in use to collimated beams whose respective axial lines are parallel to each other by a collimating lens and arranging them to be projected to a condensing lens.

CONSTITUTION: On the input side of a unit 10, optical fiber assemblies are housed at respective positions with the mutual intervals of 120° on a circumference. The beams radiated from the respective optical fiber assemblies 11-13 are collimated by the respective collimating lenses 14-16 arranged with the intervals of 120° with each other on the circumference and paired with the respective optical fiber assemblies 11-13. Thus, the mutually parallel beams emitted from the collimating lenses 14 16 are converged to one common point 14 by one condensing lens 17.
