Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the appearance, by forming the width part of the crest and the trough of a rail with a corrugated section to have mutually reverse taper from one end thereof to the other end.
SOLUTION: A beam 3 for a guard rail is alternately provided with two crests 3A in the axial direction and one trough 3B and also provided with bolt holes 4A, 4B at both ends. In this time, the width of the crest 3A is continuously widened from one end thereof to the other end and the width of the trough 3B is continuously narrowed from one end to the other end. The bolt hole 4A of one end is made laterally long and the bolt hole 4B of the other end is made vertically long to absorb the fitting error at the connecting process of the rail. The beams 3 are mutually bolted in the same direction and the flat parts of the crest 3A and the through 3B at the superposed part thereof are closely positioned and hence, any clearances are not brought and the bolt holes coincide with each other. In this way, a level difference at the superposed part can be prevented and further, the appearance can be improved.
