To provide a beam support structure by a beam support member which can exhibit both earthquake proof and base isolation functions by the beam support member with a simple structure, and the thickness of which can be easily changed according to specifications of an architectural structure.
A flexible beam support member (10) is constituted by bundling a plurality of wires (11a) made of spring steel, an upper end of the beam support member (10) is connected to a beam (6), and a lower end of the beam support member (10) is connected to a bed (3) or a beam of a lower floor. The wires (11a) of the beam support member (10) are bundled by ring-shaped metallic restraining members (12). More preferably, swollen parts (21) in which each wire (11a) is outwardly bent in the diameter direction of the beam support member (10) are formed in the beam support member (10). Thus, a beam support structure can exhibit aseismatic function and vibration control function against vibrations in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction.
