To provide a bearer transporting apparatus which alleviates a burden of transporting bearers on the worker, to thereby improve the working efficiency and reduce construction costs, and to provide a pipe line constructing method using the bearer transporting apparatus.
The bearer transporting apparatus is comprised of a joist J arranged in a cover body 12 in a pipe axial direction, and a transporting instrument T borne by the joist J. The transporting instrument T is movable along the joist J by a trolley mechanism, and has a vertically movable hoisting means like a chain block. After the bearer A is hoisted by the transporting instrument T, it is moved along the joist J, and then mounted on a carriage M to be transported to a predetermined location.
