To provide an improved bearing assembly prolonged in its service life by providing the self-lubricating bearing surface of a rotary shaft.
It is so constituted that the self-lubricating external cylindrical bearing surface, that is, a layer 77 of a bearing sleeve 75, an internal bearing member, moves in contact with the inward cylindrical metallic bearing surface 91 of a ball member 60 which is an external bearing member, or a superior member. With this constitution, a service life can be prolonged at the time of being operated under the condition of the same speed and the same load compared with constitution of conventional technique of moving in contact with the self-lubricating bearing surface facing the outside of a shaft. As to application to light load, the internal bearing member, that is, the sleeve member 75, moves in contact with the external bearing member, that is, the ball member 60, and an even more appropriate bearing life can be obtained.
