Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated by the vibration of a crank shaft, related to a bearing beam of an engine.SOLUTION: A bearing beam 6 is composed of bearing caps 61 for supporting a crank shaft 3, and a connecting part 62 which connects the respective bearing caps 61 in a fore-and-aft direction. The connecting part 62 has an oil sump 62a and an oil supply passage 62b. Oil 9 is supplied to a clearance 8 which is formed between the oil sump 62a and a rotation trace of a counter weight 3b3, or a rotation trace of a lower end of a connecting rod 4 from the oil supply passage 62b, and the vibration of the crank shaft 3 is suppressed by oil damping which is generated between the oil 9 and the counter weight 3b3, or the lower end of the connecting rod 4.
