Title:
BEARING AND CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION EQUIPPED WITH BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015158245
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing capable of relaxing impact at a time of collision of a rolling element against an inner wheel and suppressing impact-caused noise and vibration with a simple configuration, and a continuously variable transmission including such a bearing and capable of attaining the similar effects.SOLUTION: A ball bearing 40 according to the present invention comprises an outer wheel 41 and an inner wheel 42 as well as, between the outer and inner wheels, a plurality of balls 43 and a holding unit 44 holding the balls 43. The holding unit 44 includes a plurality of pocket portions 46 accommodating therein the respective balls 43, and a coupling portion 47 coupling the pocket portions 46. The coupling portion 47 is formed of an elastic material and includes radially inside protrusions 47a. The protrusions 47a abut on an outer circumferential surface of the inner wheel 42 to make the coupling portion 47 under tension in response to the extension of the coupling portion 47 due to an inertial force of the balls 43 serving as rolling elements, thereby absorbing impact energy between the balls 43 and the inner wheel 42 and suppressing impact-caused noise and vibration.
