Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing which is improved in durability by reducing the generation of friction resistance and the wear of a cage by smoothly taking in lubricating oil between the cage and an internal peripheral face of an outer ring and between the cage and an internal peripheral face of an inner ring, and a continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A bearing 16 comprises an outer ring 161, an inner ring 162, a plurality of rolling bodies 164 and a cage 163. The bearing 16 is constituted so that, when the rotation axial line direction of the inner ring 16 is set as a width direction, an outer ring width L1 being a dimension from the center of the outer ring 161 up to one end, an inner ring width L2 being a dimension from the center of the inner ring 162 up to one end, and a cage width L3 being a dimension from the center of the cage 163 up to one end satisfies a relationship of "outer ring width L1">"cage width L3">"inner ring width L2".
