Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device of a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, which can be supplied with oil to a bearing gap at an early stage in starting and can reduce the supply amount of oil in normal operation.SOLUTION: A bearing device 1 includes a crankshaft having plural journal parts, main bearings supporting the crankshaft, and a bearing housing. The plural journal parts have a first journal part 61 with a lubricating oil passage and a second journal part 62 without a lubricating oil passage. The first and second journal parts 61, 62 are supported by the first and second main bearings 41, 42, respectively. The bearing housing 8 is formed of an upper housing 81 made of an Al alloy and a lower housing 82 made of an Fe-alloy. The groove depth D2 of an oil groove 42G of an upper half bearing 42U of the second main bearing 42 at least in a ±45° region θ1 is equal to or smaller than a half of the groove depth D1 of an oil groove 41G of an upper half bearing 41U of the first main bearing 41 in the ±45° region θ1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
