Abstract:

To improve workability when installing a bearing device for a railroad vehicle axle on the axle.

This bearing device for the railroad vehicle axle has a rolling bearing 20 having an inner ring 22 to be pressed in the axle 50, an outer ring 24 to be installed in a shaft box, a rolling body 26 interposed between a track of the inner ring 22 and a track of the outer ring 24 and a cage 28 holding the rolling body 26 at a predetermined interval, annular members 52 and 54 arranged on both sides in the axial direction of the inner ring 22, and covers 44 and 46 retaining the rolling bering 20 and the annular members 52 and 54 in a state of fixing the relative positional relationship.
