To provide a bearing device for effectively preventing the temperature rise of lubricating oil caused by hot carry-over accompanied by the rotation of a rotating shaft while suppressing reduction in service life caused by the wear of an oil scraping member.
The bearing device includes a floating block 53 provided so as to be energized toward a supported face 50A of the rotating shaft for floating in lubricating oil between bearing pads 52 and having an opposite face 53A opposite to the supported face 50A moved close to or apart from the supported face 50A, and a plurality of foils 56 protruded on the opposite face 53A of the floating block 53 and provided at a space 56A in a rotating direction T of the rotating shaft in such an inclined state that a clearance to the supported face 50A of a thrust collar 50 is gradually narrower along the rotating direction T of the rotating shaft.
