To provide a bearing device for a wheel where cost reduction, weight saving, and miniaturization are carried out.
The bearing device for a wheel comprises an outward member 10 having double row outer rolling surfaces 10a on its inner periphery, a wheel mounting flange 4 on one end part, a hub wheel 1 on an outer periphery of which an inner rolling surface 2a and a small diameter stepped part 5 are formed, an inward member 1 consisting of an inner ring 3 on an outer periphery of which an inner rolling surface 3a is formed and pressure fitted into the small diameter stepped part 5, double row rolling elements 20 housed between the rolling surfaces, and a brake rotor R fastened to the wheel mounting flange 4 through a hub bolt 6. A wheel W is supported so as to freely rotate relative to a car body. The wheel mounting flange 4 is inserted to an inner diameter Ra of the brake rotor R through a predetermined guide clearance. A collar part 7 is formed at the wheel W. The brake rotor R is inserted to the collar part 7. The brake rotor R and the wheel W are guided to the radial direction by an outer diameter 4a of the wheel mounting flange 4.
