An approximately cylindrical pilot part 17 extending to an inboard side is formed on a base part of a vehicle body mounting flange 4b of an outer member 4. A recession part 17a remaining a working surface of forging is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the pilot part 17 by forging. Whereas, a projection part 17b having a working surface formed to an approximately uniform cylindrical shape by machining working is formed on the portion other than the recession part 17a of the pilot part 17. The recession part 17a and the projection part 17b are alternately and equally arranged on 12 portions of an outer periphery of the pilot part 17. Thereby, light weight can be attained without reducing the rigidity of the outer member 4.
