To provide a bearing device for a wheel which suppresses a foreign matter from approaching a slide contact part of the lip of a seal member to improve a sealing function.
A bearing device includes an outer ring 2 and an inner shaft 3 and an inner ring 4 which rotate relatively to the outer ring 2. A flange 3c, protruding radially outward to fix a wheel, is formed at an end on a vehicle outer side of the inner shaft 3. The bearing device also includes a seal member 7, which is fitted to an end of an inner peripheral surface on a flange side of the outer ring 2 and seals annular spaces 6 between the outer ring 2 and the inner shaft 3 and inner ring 4 to constitute a bearing inner space 6a. The seal member 7 includes an outer seal member 9 which is arranged radially outside of the seal member 7 and seals the annular spaces 6 in a hub unit 1 having an annular axial lip 72d formed of an elastic body and coming into sliding contact with the side surface on the side of the outer ring 2 of the flange 3c. The outer seal member 9 is fixed to a side surface on the side of the outer ring 2 of the flange 3c and brought into sliding contact with the end 2d on the side of the flange 3c of the outer ring 2.
