To provide a bearing device capable of preventing distortion of an inner ring raceway surface caused by the press-in of an inner ring, with the overall width of the inner ring functioning effectively to restrain axial deflection of a shaft.

The bearing device has a pair of rolling bearings fitted into two axially spaced portions on a shaft 23; of the pair of rolling bearings, the rolling bearing 25 pressed into the shaft 23 has its inner ring 25b fitted around the shaft 23 by an interference fit at its inner peripheral surfaces D1 and D2 at both axial ends. Also, the shaft 23 is provided with a reduced diameter part 23a of an appropriate axial width with its outside diameter set to be smaller than the inside diameter of the inner ring 25b, the reduced diameter part being located in a position corresponding to the axially mid portion of the inner ring 25b pressed in, so that the inner peripheral surface D3 of the axially mid portion where a raceway surface 27 exists is fitted around the shaft 23 by a clearance fit.
