To provide a bearing device that detects an indication of a failure of a bearing at an early stage by a sensor, and also rapidly feeds a lubricant to the bearing upon detection of a failure to provide emergency treatment to the bearing without any temporal losses before the bearing is subjected to critical damages, thereby improving reliability and safety greatly.
The bearing device includes: a sensor unit 50 for detecting a physical amount during rotational movement of a roller bearing 13 to monitor an operational state of the roller bearing 13; a failure detecting means 61 for analyzing the physical amount of the roller bearing 13 detected by the sensor unit 50 and comparing the result of analysis with predetermined reference data to determine whether the roller bearing 13 is in failure or not; a lubricant feeding device 51 for feeding a lubricant to the roller bearing 13 when the failure detecting means 61 determines that the roller bearing is failure; and an output device 62 for outputting operational states of the roller bearing 13 and the lubricant feeding device 51.
