Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device that can reliably hold a pair of washers in it with an assembly jig and also enables the bearing device held in the assembly jig to be assembled to an engine block.SOLUTION: A bearing device 1 comprises a semi-cylindrical semi-bearing 2 and circular arc washers 3, 3 connected to outer peripheral parts at both ends 2A, 2B of the semi-bearing 2 in an axial direction. At an inner peripheral edge of each washer 3, a plurality of ribs 3B are formed in a circumferential direction. On both ends 2G, 2G in the circumferential direction at an outer periphery 2E of the semi-bearing 2, fitting grooves 2H, 2H are formed. Before assembly to an engine block 5, both ends 2G, 2G of the semi-bearing 2 are open and expand due to spring-back, so that the ribs 3B, 3B of both washers 3 are fitted in the fitting grooves 2H, 2H. Thus, a distance L1 between the outer surfaces of both washers 3, 3 is kept at a smaller size than a size L2 of an opening of an assembly jig 6.
