Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device having excellent foreign matter discharging performance.SOLUTION: A bearing housing 4 includes: a crank shaft 11 for an internal combustion engine to be held approximately vertically during operation; a pair of half bearings 7 and 7 to receive a radial force of the crank shaft 11; at least one half thrust bearing 8 having on one side surface thereof a slide surface 81 to receive an axial force of the crank shaft 11 and a reverse wedge surface 82 whose wall thickness is decreased toward a rotation direction of the crank shaft 11; a holding hole 5 penetrated so as to hold the pair of half bearings 7 and 7; and strikes 6 and 6 respectively formed on both side surfaces of the bearing housing 4 in order to dispose the half thrust bearing 8. The one or two half thrust bearings 8 and 8 are disposed on one of the strikes 6 and 6 disposed on both side surfaces of the bearing housing 4 which is configured to be oriented toward the direction of gravity action during the operation.
