Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device suppressed in deformation of a circumferential end portion of a slide bearing to a bearing inner diameter side.SOLUTION: A bearing device includes an Al alloy bearing housing having a bearing retaining hole, a cylindrical slide bearing press-fitted in the bearing retaining hole, and a shaft supported on an inner peripheral face of the slide bearing. The press-fitted slide bearing includes an Fe alloy back metal layer at an outer diameter side of the cylindrical shape, and a slide layer at the inner diameter side. A first circumferential end face is provided with a plurality of hardened projecting portions projecting toward a second circumferential end face, the second circumferential end face is provided with a plurality of hardened recessed portions corresponding to the plurality of hardened projecting portions, a first hardened region KR1 obtained by hardening the Fe alloy back metal layer, is formed on the hardened projecting portions and their peripheries of the first circumferential end face, and a second hardened region KR2 obtained by hardening the Fe alloy back metal layer, is formed on the hardened recessed portions and their peripheries of the second circumferential end face.
