Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device in which an entire rotation resistance is made minimum even if foreign substances such as dross or the like enter to cause a rotation of a bearing member to be stopped and its replacement cycle is sufficiently extended.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a bearing device for a ceramics roll immersed into molten metal plating bath comprising a plurality of ceramic bearing members 10 and a ceramics holder 20. Each of the bearing members 10 comprises an outer ring 12 and an inner ring 13 for rotatably holding a plurality of balls 11. The holder 20 fixes only the outer ring 12 and the inner ring 13 can be rotated through balls 11 in respect to the outer ring 12, a clearance between the inner ring 13 and a roll shaft part 42 is set in such a manner that [a] during a period in which the inner ring 13 and the outer ring 12 are rotatable, the inner ring 13 does not slide in respect to the roll shaft part 42 and [b] when the inner ring 13 is not rotatable, the inner ring 13 can slide in respect to the roll shaft part 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1(a)
