Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust from entering a rotating contact surface between a cylindrical bearing and a shaft of a screw while the bearing can be easily replaced as a consumable part by a method wherein an end part of the shaft of the screw is pivotally supported by the cylindrical bearing (bushing) fitted to a shaft hole in a bearing block.
SOLUTION: This dust preventing device for bearing is made such that a bearing block 5 assembled to a connecting trough 4 or a lifting machine 2 is formed with a shaft hole 50, a bearing 6 formed into a cylinder shape is supported by it. The end part of a shaft 31 of a screw 30 of a discharging conveyor 3 is pivotally supported at the bearing block 5, the bearing block 5 has an annular wall 8 projected around an opening of at the side of a main body 1 of the shaft hole 50 supporting the bearing 6. On a shaft 31 of the screw 30 is slidably fitted a cap-like lid 7 covering a part around the fitted section between the shaft 31 and the bearing 6 in an axial direction of the shaft 31. An inner surface side of the lid member 7 opposing against the bearing block 5 is formed with a smooth surface 71 abutting against a projecting end surface 80 of the annular wall 8.
