To increase degree of freedom of layout by eliminating restriction in an assembling direction of a driven gear and a rolling bearing in an electric steering device for a vehicle.
In the electric steering device, auxiliary steering force of an electric motor 28 is converted to a reciprocation motion of a steering member 10 through gear devices 26, 20 and ball screws 15, 16, 17 to change a direction of a wheel. A plurality of through holes 20c are provided on a driven gear 20. When an outer ring of an angular ball bearing 19 is press-fitted and fixed to a housing 12A of the steering member 10, an outside screw nut 22 is tightened by a claw 24a of a fixture 24 through a plurality of through holes 20c provided on the driven gear 20. Even when the driven gear 20 is arranged at the outside the angular ball bearing 19, a press-fit/fixing work of the outer ring of the angular ball bearing 19 against the housing 12 can be easily carried out.
