Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a fuel pump capable of securing corrosion resistance of its sliding surface higher than conventional while restricting deterioration of strength or cost increase.
SOLUTION: This bearing for a fuel pump comprises a sliding layer 25b mainly composed of carbon, and a support layer 25a mainly composed of carbon and metal, and coupled with the sliding layer to support the sliding layer. By thus providing a two-layer structure comprising the sliding layer having excellent corrosion resistance and the support layer having excellent strength, corrosion resistance on the sliding surface side and strength as a bearing can be secured.
