Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide suitable, new and exchangeable bearing structure for supporting a hatch cover.
CONSTITUTION: A self-lubricating bearing suitable for marine application such as to support a hatch cover has a bearing surface formed of a flexible woven pad. The woven pad 32 is kept in a prescribed position by a sheet-like metallic member which is arranged and folded to cover a pillow plate 28 and is engaged with the edge area of the pad 32. The sheet-like metallic member is fitted to the pillow plate 28 and an underlying base plate.
