Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the diameter of an inner shaft to the minimum necessary size, by arranging an inner shaft stern side bearing between the inner circumferential face at the rear end section of an outer shaft and the outer circumferential face of on inner shaft while arranging an inner shaft bow side bearing between the inner circumferential face at the front end section of the outer shaft and the outer circumferential face on the inner shaft, and employing an automatic centering rolling bearing for the inner shaft stern side bearing. CONSTITUTION:The lubricant fed to an oil supply tube 27 for an inner shaft will flow through an oil supply path 21 in the inner shaft from the bow section toward the stern section, then flow out from a lubricant path section 21a to the stern section on the outer circumferential face of the inner shaft 3, and lubricate an inner shaft stern side sealing device 16 and an inner shaft bow side bearing (automatic centering rolling bearing) 17. Since a rolling bearing is employed for said bearing 17, the lubricant will flow through an oil supply path 47 in the outer shaft while maintaining a low temperature to lubricate an inner shaft bow side bearing (sliding bearing) 7 and an inner shaft bow side sealing device 5, and then flow out through a lubricant path section 22 to the how section on the outer circumference of the outer shaft 11, thus lubricating the outer shaft how side sealing device under relatively low temperature condition. Since a rolling bearing is employed for said bearing 17, the diameter of the inner shaft 3 can be reduced to the minimum necessary size.
