Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase life of cylindrical roller bearings, by providing a supply system for supplying lubricant to plain bearings and the cylindrical roller bearings through a lubricating port and providing an exhaust system for discharging the lubricant supplied to the plain bearings and the cylindrical roller bearings through a lubricant discharge port. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical roller bearings 6a, 6b pivotally supporting an internal shaft are subject only to a radial load without being subject to an axial (thrust) load applied to the internal shaft 1. A bearing lubricant supply system supplies lubricant to plain bearings 7a, 7b and the cylindrical roller bearings through a lubricant supply port 15 and a bearing lubricant discharge system discharges the lubricant from the plain bearings 7a, 7b and the cylindrical roller bearings 6a, 6b through a lubricant discharge port 13. As a result, service life of the cylindrical roller bearings 6a, 6b is increased and their bearing diameter is made very small, whereby an overall propeller system is made small for cost reduction.
