PURPOSE: To improve assembly work efficiency of a fluid machine by fitting, between the flange surface of a cover and the end surface of a casing in rotor direction, one sheet of annular spacer individually or aggregated spacers formed by superposing two pieces or more of the annular spacer in thickness direction.
CONSTITUTION: Shaft ends of rotors 3, 4 are axially supported in bearing cases 35, 37 provided on casings 1a, 1b through bearings 5, 7 respectively. Top ends of covers 9, 11 are inserted in the bearing cases 35, 37, and guided to abut on the outer races of the bearings 5, 7 respectively. A plurality of annular spacers having several kinds of thickness and same shape are formed by spacer elements which are formed by dividing a spacer into nearly two parts around a rotor axis. One sheet of the annular spacer is fit individually or aggregated spacers 13 to 16 formed by superposing two pieces or more of the annular spacer in thickness direction are fit together between flange surfaces 69 to 72 of the covers 9, 11, and end surface of a casing 1 in rotors 3, 4.
