To provide a bearing seal comprising a ring having an outer diameter portion to be pressed into the inner peripheral end of an outer ring, and a lip integrated with the ring, capable of being removed from the inner peripheral end of the outer ring without giving damage to the seal surface of an inner ring, using a tool.
In the bearing seal 1, the ring 2 has a tool latch port 6 inserted through the surface and the reverse of the seal and the tool latch port 6 is closed with a solid lubricant 7. After the solid lubricant 7 is removed from the mounted bearing seal 1, the tool is inserted from the outer diameter portion 2a of the ring 2 through an introduction portion 6a partially recessed in the inner diameter side and latched to the reverse side of the seal and the tool is raised up with the inner peripheral edge of the outer ring as a lever supporting point. Thus, the bearing seal 1 can be pushed out to the surface side and removed therefrom.
