To provide a technique to manufacture a bearing unit at a low cost by efficiently fixing a bearing to a member to be fixed.

A method is provided for manufacturing the bearing unit by fixing the member to be fixed (a shaft 12, a housing) and the bearing 14 with an anaerobic adhesive 22. The member to be fixed has a recessed groove 12g in a fixing portion 12w at least for fixing the bearing. The manufacturing method has: a temporarily bonding step of temporarily bonding the member to be fixed and the bearing installing the bearing in the member to be fixed after the anaerobic adhesive is applied to the fixing portion rotating the member to be fixed in an atmosphere under an atmospheric pressure environment; and an untreating step of leaving the member to be fixed and the bearing, and the anaerobic adhesive in a partially uncured form in an atmosphere under a vacuum environment set at a temperature higher than the temperature in atmosphere under the atmospheric pressure environment for a predetermined period, while an uncured part remains with no complete curing of the whole anaerobic adhesive, and thus completely curing the whole of the anaerobic adhesive.
